Fermentation Class 101

​​Discover the ancient art of fermentation. This class will teach you how to unleash the power of the humble vegetable through fermentation. Tips and techniques for safely preserving vegetables through fermentation will be shared. Hands-on demonstrations will guide you through the process of making sauerkraut. You will also have a chance to do some taste testing.

 

Join us for a fun culinary journey!  If you want to make your own sauerkraut, please bring the following to class:

  • Head of cabbage

  • Your favorite knife for cutting the cabbage

  • Cutting board

  • Large bowl for mixing the kraut

  • Glass quart jar, no lid necessary

  • Wooden spoon (optional)

  • Kitchen scale,  (optional)
