Capture the Coast

We can go no farther in our journey west without hopping on a surfboard. We have reached the Pacific Ocean near Lincoln City, Oregon. The ocean fog rolled in to greet us as did the blessedly cool temperatures. My husband joked that in Springfield he shoved all his long-sleeved clothes to the bottom of the suitcase thinking they would have no use on this trip. We are digging them back out, no extra charge for the wrinkles.
Here are a few pics...

Oh, the beach. There is a pathway close to our abode that leads directly to the ocean. The water has a mesmerizing and magnetic quality and I find myself just staring at the waves breaking on the shore. Note to self, tide is a real thing.

Another note to self, Pacific Northwest coast water is cold. It is therapeutic and my skaggy feet are not opposed to a good cleansing.

Rocko lives just a few doors down from us. I haven't added to his tail but I do appreciate this reptile's creative qualities.

The black-tailed deer are ever present on my morning walk. They seem totally non-plussed by my presence which is good because my camera skills appreciate a subject that stays in near proximity.

Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge gave me this gift, an osprey platform complete with an osprey family. My husband won the jackpot and saw Papa Osprey bring in a fish. Sadly, I missed that moment but no complaints. We were able to observe the birds and watch Teenaged Osprey enjoy some family time with his parental units. Fly on, Pandion haliaetus.

More beach time because, well, why not?
