Fourteen years ago this month I started writing and posting about my ordinary life, breaking every rule of blogging possible. Blogging advisors will tell you that you need to find your niche, write about interesting topics, learn what people are searching for and create compelling content. In addition, it is advisable to post quality photographs. Clearly, none of these tips landed with me. My only claim to success is consistency and keeping my pledge that there would never be a seizure-inducing stream of ads on my website.

Now it is time for me to hit the pause button. The platform I am using has been giving me

wonky fits lately. I apologize to those of you who are subscribers and have not been receiving notifications of new posts. Despite my valiant effort to remedy the problem, the glitches remain. I haven't taken the final plunge of calling the "help" line. (I am mono-lingual and I struggle greatly with unfamiliar accents.) Time will tell if my tech ineptness will conquer this problem.

I am also exploring other writing projects and feel it is time to focus my energies away from regular blogging for a time. I do not know if that will be long-term or otherwise. If the blogging bug bites me again, I will be back.

Thanks to all you kind and grammar-forgiving readers. You made my writing a little less lonely. I hope you will check back occasionally. There may be a surprise post or I may be back in the blog-posting-saddle again. The muse will be leading the way.
